XMP Metadata
Background
XMP is a generic metadata format that can be used with many formats, among that many multimedia formats (avi, mov, flv, 3gp, mp4, mxf, asf). Window Vista uses XMP by default.
The metadatamux/demux elements in gst-plugins-bad are not the right approach for XMP support. See discussion in Bug 486659. An initial implementation of xmp reading and writing is now available in Bug 609539.
Task
The scope of this project would be to:
- improve the implementation
- add tests
- add more metadata field mappings
- use it an all supported formats within gstreamer.
