Webpage
layout
http://www.jukkar.com/projects/GStreamer/
- ensonic: image will be made smaller and less baby-blue
- ensonic: select a signal color and use in gray/white text area too (e.g for separator lines or bullets)
slomo: The font looks really ugly here. Maybe adding some more alternatives for the font would help, like "Bitstream Vera Sans" or "DejaVu Sans" or simply "Sans"
- tpm: this looks awesome! I agree with slomo about the font though, the current one is a bit edgy and doesn't look well-spaced to me in general (or at least that's how it renders here)
- ds: /me likey. Not a fan of appropriating classic artwork.

- ensonic: I like #3 and #5 best so far, side menu needs more facelift, what about
- shadows (like on the top)
- a slight vertical gradient in the background of each menu entry
- ensonic: I like #3 and #5 best so far, side menu needs more facelift, what about
beta site
Here you find the whole GStreamer site with the new layout applied: http://www.buzztard.org/files/gstreamer-beta-web/index.html Please comment:
- ensonic: still a bit gray
ensonic: tables & pre-formatted text need styling
- bilboed: menu items seem very small compared to the chapters/body in the main part. Maybe make those menu items bold ?
menu
categories - the idea of coloring the menu was to group items interesting for users, developers and misc
- now the 'blue' category is kind of empty, what about one more entry there that is sort of marketing blabla to show the widespread use of gstreamer
- gnome desktop, nokia tablets, axis cameras, songbird, ...
frontpage
features
- screen shots: gst-inspector, dot-graph, gst-debug-viewer
- multiplatform: sinks and sources on maxos and window
news
- icons for: releases, announcements
applications
- icons for: (audio/video)players, editors, tools
- or group apps and have one icon for group and screenshot-thumbnails for apps
download
- That page is *awful*, not very informational and outdated (Fedora Core 5? isn't 10 coming out RSN ?)
- We should have main categories for OS/Env (Linux, MacOSX, Windows, Embedded linux, ... ?).
developers
- Remove links to outdated stuff
- Buildbot
- Automated media tests
