GStreamer Conference 2010

Cambridge, United Kingdom, 26th of October 2010

The conference is now over, but we are making video recordings of the talks available through our sponsor Ubicast who recorded the talks using their advanced recording systems. The second batch of videos are available from the Free Electrons Gst Conference site We will also make all the slides available from our wiki.

In conjuction with the CE Linux Conference Europe we are happy to host and arrange the first full day conference focusing on GStreamer and related technologies. Speakers from a wide range of companies and fields will attend to speak about available GStreamer technologies and future developments.

The conference will be held in the ballroom at the University Arms Hotel the day before the CE Linux Europe conference, making it ideal to combine the two events.

The talks hosted will cover a range of technologies built around GStreamer aimed at embedded, desktop and server usage. There will also be a presentation on the plans for the GStreamer 1.0 release.

Technologies covered

We have a long list of topics to be presented like:

  • GStreamer 1.0
  • DLNA support
  • Cross platform development with GStreamer
  • Telepathy VOIP and videoconferencing
  • GStreamer and Android
  • GStreamer and MeeGo
  • GStreamer, Webkit and HTML5
  • Case studies on GStreamer product deployments

Both the full GStreamer conference timetable and the full list of speakers bios and talk abstracts are now online. We got a wonderful list of speakers so we hope as many of you as possible will be attending. In addition to the talks at the GStreamer Conference day there are quite a few very interesting talks happening as part of CE Linux also, like Benjamin Gaignard of ST Ericsson talking about Android and GStreamer, Stefan Kost of Nokia talking about Meego and GStreamer and Arun Raghavan from Collabora Multimedia speaking about Pulse Audio. So be sure to register for both events.
